Regimental ties take their name from the colours and designs of old. English regiments. These pairings are obligitory because these ties are the sign of belonging to a cetain college. club or regiment. For this reason. the English wear many patterned ties but only one regimental tie. which is the only one for their regiment. It is a more smart-casual tie. that should be worn with blazer or jacket and seperate trousers.
